A global pandemic, widespread nationwide lockdowns, and dividing political events all in one year. Can we all agree it’s time to put 2020 behind us? I don’t know about you, but we’re ready for a New Year and better times in 2021. With all the chaos of this year, is it wise to recommend things for 2021 when we all thought 2020 would be the best year yet? Revolution Force likes to live on the wild side, so we’re giving it a shot! Based on everything that has happened this year, we see 3 trends continuing into the New Year.

Influencer Marketing

If you need a refresher on Influencer Marketing, check out this blog post: Influencer Marketing: How to Use Influencers for Marketing. We think influencer marketing will continue to be a hot trend as you get a lot more bang for your buck than native ads on social media.

TikTok isn’t new to the social media world but was on the verge of shutting down in 2020 due to its security concerns. However, Oracle and Walmart have partnered up to combat any security issues. With these new partners come new marketing trends. TikTok will now be someone to compete with against Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We see massive success with TikTok for marketing to younger users and the stay-at-home mom’s. The global pandemic opened doors to new users for this app when people were forced to stay at home and entertain themselves. Staying home brought in the older crowds- a.k.a. stay-at-home moms.

Interactive Content

Interactive Content seems to be catching visitor’s attention more and more these days. It’s an excellent way for the visitor to feel engaged, but an even better way for you to gain valuable information about your viewers and what they like/dislike. Imagine you’re selling cars on your website. It would be beneficial to you and your customer if there was a calculator on your website to showcase how much a car would cost, if they put money down as a down payment, how much would that change the monthly payment, or if they plan to lease. You’re able to see the customer’s budget and target cars with that budget, and the visitor is able to get an idea of what they can afford. The viewer is intrigued, and you’ve just received vital information on how to target them. It’s a win-win right there.

Online marketing is continually changing, but predicting the trends based on previous analytics is not only fun but rewarding. Paying attention to what succeeded in 2020 has given us a leg up into 2021, and we’re ready to have an even better year than last with this information.
