As technology evolved marketing took to the digital space. Ad campaigns and advertisements opened to a larger part of the population, and content creation went from months to hours to create and release. 

Many companies use a variety of digital marketing channels. Let’s review a few types of digital marketing available today. Keep in mind that there are many types, but let’s focus on the most prominent.

Website marketing is the centerpiece of digital marketing activities and is where companies will build a brand from. All other digital marketing leads to the company website. You can see this example by visiting any company site and observing how they link to their social media accounts, blogs, and other marketing channels. 

Content Marketing

Content marketing is usually published and promoted through social media marketing, email, SEO, or sometimes pay-per-click campaigns. Content marketing tools are vast and can vary. Some of the avenues for content marketing include blogs, ebooks, online courses, infographics, podcasts, and webinars. The type of content used to promote a product or service depends on the audience. 

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the oldest forms of marketing. This is where influencers promote other a product and get a commission every time a sale is made or a lead is introduced to the product/company. Many of the largest companies in the world use affiliate marketing, and influencers use many avenues to promote affiliate programs.
